All About Me

Hi my name is Sue aka the Vamp Cat and if there's one thing that I love to do is read books. I was always strictly a person who had to have a 'real' book in my hand. It had to be a paperback book as I loved the feel and smell of it and sad as it seems the turning of pages in anticipation of what may be on the next page. I have bookshelves full of books as I can't bear to give them away!

Early last year I decided to try Amazon's Kindle, purely for holidays as I could take lots of books with me on one small device. Little did I know how quickly I could get hooked on it, and the old paperbacks could go out of the window. Shock horror I can hear book purists say 'what about real books'? Well I can have a library of books on my Kindle, most of which are cheaper than paper back & hardback books (a big plus in current times) and I don't have to wait for the postman to deliver or go in search of buying them. I can take the device with me anywhere and I'm surprised constantly at how much longer i'm sat reading books for (don't know if this is a good or bad thing lol) For Christmas 2012 I received a Kindle Fire HD and I've never looked back, and I love reading my books on the sepia background!


My main passion in literature is fantasy books, I especially love books with vampires in, but more recently Angels have begun to feature in my reading list. So as suggested by the name of my blog Vamp Cats this blog is going to feature books from the fantasy world,
featring dragons, witches dwarves and of course vampires.

Aim of the blog

The aim of this blog is to review books from the fantasy world of books, giving accurate reviews of books from this genre in once place, so the book reviews don't 'get lost' in the middle of a more general book blog.

Review Policy

I will accept books for review from both authors and publishers, as long as they fall into the genre of fantasy fiction. I will accept books for review in both paper & e-book format. You can contact me using the contact form on this page.
